Co-creating the next track car
As fans and advocates of co-creation, here’s a story we love: Nissan are using Social Media to co-create their next Z car (that’s a track car to you and me). Using their online platform on Facebook, Nissan hopes that their loyal base of car enthusiasts will get involved in debating and choosing which engine parts to use and so far it seems to be working well: in the last 3 days hundreds of comments have already been placed on the site.
Nissan have promised their fans that they “will have a say in every phase, starting with the power train, then on to the exhaust, suspension, brakes, interior and exterior – a complete transformation.”
We love when companies experiment with co-creation (after all, the Sense Worldwide team work with some of the best companies in the world to co-create their products and services), but we hope Nissan’s fans know the difference between the different engine parts, otherwise the final design could look like one of the machines seen in Robot Wars.
